Ceol Éireann has been established to provide funding, assistance, production, and dissemination of creative music in Ireland and abroad, which can take inspiration from the huge success that screen Ireland has provided for the audio-visual sector in Ireland.
The music industry sector have been largely, if not completely ignored at National level. The reason for this cannot be placed at the door of any one individual or organisation, it is simply that no organisation similar to Screen Ireland exists to further and foster creative music in Ireland.
We believe that if the music industry’s creative sector in Ireland has access to proper funding and support, our world leading talent for music would excel exponentially.
It is Ceol Éireann’s primary intention is to create a system in which Ireland and its fantastic wealth of creative musicians can shine on the international stage, as we have done for so many years in the past.

For too long now, the music industry in Ireland has suffered from the lack of one cohesive body representing the entirety of our sector. Successive Irish Governments have noy recognised the potential of our industry and the value to the Irish economy that would ensue, should the Irish music industry present a united front to the world.
We aim to communicate with all Irish industry professions from songwriters, musicians, independent record labels, music publishers, promoters and all music industry associations.
Ceol Éireann hopes to have funding put in place, to allow us to run events and information days for music minded people, when the industry is really struggling at grass root level.
With your support, we will be able to create employment for a number of individuals, dedicated to delivering the goals we have put in place for our organisation. Ceol Éireann is currently 100% a voluntary organisation.
